Teach Your Baby to Sleep through the night

Baby Cries All Night

Crying is a normal event in the lives of all babies.

When a baby comes out of the womb, the first item on the agenda is bawling. Through the first cry, the baby will take some air in to the lungs for the first time in their life. After birth, if the baby does not cry, then it should be strongly encouraged, by slightly pinching or gentle stroking of the feet.

From this, it should be clear that a healthy baby must cry, and it is an ordinary biological event. Even so, sometimes it can sadden the mother and father and all of the household members.

We all know that a baby can't tell his desires or troubles in words. The only way for him to communicate with others is by weeping. Babies occassionally give some other hint, like feet jerking, hand signaling and head turning. But the best way to attract the consideration of others is generally by crying.

Excessive howling may not have a firm definition because the sobbing routine varies from baby to baby, and some offspring can be calmed simply but others are problematic when it comes to getting them relaxed. If wailing is stressful for the parent and home nurse it can be termed excessive.

Many a time a howling baby can be calmed by adminstering breast milk, or by holding the child with a soothing rocking. Sudden onset of excessive sobbing indicates baby is miserable and needs attention. The origins of the howling can extend from simple reasons to life threatening situations, hence weeping of a baby ought to not be ignored.

Most of the time it is hard to find the cause of crying .Common causes are discussed here for your perusal:

Common reasons for crying:

* Colic:

When the baby cries nonstop, most of us diagnose it as colic. This problem is still a topic for deliberation because the exact origins of colic are not known, and identification is also tough to confirm. Colic may be associated with rumbling and expansion of the abdomen. The child often recovering (in mood at least) when lying on belly. Some children will not allow you to feel the tummy.If the nursling cries endlessly, call in your GP.

* Gastro esophagial response:

Here baby cries and regurgitaties food after ingestion. If this lasts it may be due to gastroesophageal reaction. This is due to failure of the lower part of throat to close after food, causing regurgitation from the stomach. It is awkward to identify this state, but can be confirmed by giving antireflux treatments.

* Dentition:

During dentition baby becomes restless with sobbing. Often connected with abdominal troubles and diarrhoea.
